nass magnet GmbH planned an infrastructure refresh to gain more flexible access to the resources it needed and to improve IT security. PROFI successfully implemented the combined project, which consisted of an infrastructure refresh and a disaster recovery solution. nass magnet’s IT is now even better prepared for the future.
OEDIV KG
In light of the increasing demands on IT and information security, as well as the technical innovations of recent years, OEDIV wanted to have its business continuity platform reviewed and, if necessary, make adjustments. Based on its long-standing partnership with PROFI in the areas of backup and business continuity, the company turned to the IT service provider for this upcoming project as well.
ASG
ASG was the target of a cyberattack, but was able to contain the damage in just five days thanks to its high level of digitalization and the support of IT service provider PROFI. To better protect ASG from ransomware attacks in the future, PROFI worked with the client to implement a combination of measures.
Neodigital Insurance AG
Neodigital Versicherung AG’s on-premises Microsoft Exchange infrastructure was to be migrated to the Microsoft Exchange Online cloud solution. The company commissioned its long-standing business partner, PROFI, to carry out the project, and PROFI implemented a hybrid solution in close collaboration with the Neodigital team.
NetApp Case Study: Pharmaceutical Services Provider
In an IT environment with fragmented storage, it was difficult to meet high standards amid growing data and security requirements. System integrator PROFI AG and NetApp restructured the customer’s data infrastructure and made it future-proof in a hybrid cloud.
Southwest Saxony Emergency Services Association
The IT equipment that the state of Saxony had procured for the Zwickau Regional Control Center, built in 2014, had reached its limits, particularly in terms of performance and security. To ensure that the control center could continue to respond quickly and reliably to emergencies in the future, the goal was to completely overhaul the IT infrastructure, including hardware, storage, and the network environment. PROFI was awarded the contract for this challenging project due to its excellent value for money and the trust that RettZV placed in the service provider’s expertise.
Neodigital Insurance AG
As more and more third-party insurers have been integrating Neodigital’s services into their own product portfolios, the company’s internal IT infrastructure has come under increasing strain. Setting up a private cloud using the software-based enterprise cloud platform Nutanix proved to be the right solution to address the customer’s challenges.
Bionorica
As a global player with a focus on research and development, it is becoming increasingly important for Bionorica to reliably protect sensitive information and data from attacks and data loss. For this reason, Bionorica’s management decided to implement an Information Security Management System (ISMS) to establish binding standards throughout the company. In search of support, Bionorica turned to its business partner PROFI, with whom it has been working successfully for more than ten years.
TH Wildau
At the University Computing Center (HRZ) of TH Wildau, the topic of IT security has increasingly come into focus. As a result, the University Computing Center (HRZ) introduced an Information Security Management System (ISMS) as a first step, with the goal of having it certified according to DIN ISO 27001, and commissioned its long-standing business partner PROFI to evaluate and implement the recommended, multi-level security concept.

At the end of 2018, PROMOS is facing a major investment in its data center and is looking for suitable financing on short notice. Its long-standing IT systems partner, PROFI Engineering Systems AG, puts PROMOS in touch with Miller Leasing, as, in its experience, such projects are in good hands with Miller Leasing.

PROMOS is one of the leading consulting and systems integrators in the German real estate industry. PROMOS and PROFI have a long-standing, successful partnership. Throughout this time, PROFI has primarily supported the client with services in the areas of IT infrastructure and software, particularly SAP systems and storage solutions. Over the years, the business partners have grown together and have increasingly expanded their collaboration beyond the traditional areas of infrastructure and software. Now, they are moving toward strategic collaboration and future-oriented topics such as agile software development.
GKL Marketing-Marktforschung GmbH & Co. KG
As a leading provider in Germany, GKL Marketing-Marktforschung GmbH & Co. KG (GKL) has been supporting its clients with pricing strategies for more than 25 years. Thanks to a trusting partnership with the client, PROFI was able to develop a coherent overall concept for a more powerful IT environment comprising components from various manufacturers. GKL was one of the first clients in Germany to receive the state-of-the-art FUJITSU Storage ETERNUS DX600 S5 storage system for small and medium-sized businesses.
Diakonie Schleswig-Holstein
Diakonie is the social welfare organization of the Protestant Church in Schleswig-Holstein. After five years of operation, the existing system—a blade center with six servers—was not only fully depreciated but could also no longer meet the current administrative requirements of Diakonie. PROFI implemented a server and storage expansion plan based on leading Huawei technology. As requested, Diakonie now benefits from doubled performance and more space in the blade rack by replacing the legacy systems with four high-performance servers.
Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics
The Weierstrass Institute for Applied Analysis and Stochastics (WIAS) is a research institution based in Berlin-Mitte. WIAS’s Wi-Fi infrastructure was outdated, and it was no longer possible to replace the necessary components. In addition, the authentication server was no longer under warranty. To ensure the continued smooth operation of the Wi-Fi network, WIAS needed a complete overhaul, including a modern authentication solution.
Lecos
As an IT service provider for public sector clients based in Leipzig, Lecos has more than 20 years of experience and has established itself as a reliable and modern IT partner for local governments. Lecos also used an IBM Power 7 system for a procedure to manage administrative offenses in the City of Leipzig (OWiG procedure). The manufacturer no longer supported the existing technology. The plan was therefore to replace it with a new Power 9 system. For the end user, nothing was supposed to change: The more technologically advanced hardware was to ensure the continuous management of administrative offenses, just as the old system had done. Following a competitive bidding process, PROFI was awarded the contract for the project.
regio iT
The Aachen-based IT service provider regio iT is putting an end to the era of traditional work models. With the goal of supporting public institutions and schools in their digital transformation and transition to mobile and flexible work, the company relies on a modern platform based on a virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). To ensure the secure delivery of virtual desktops and applications, regio iT uses VMware Horizon. In this way, the company helps municipal institutions tackle many of the challenges of digitalization, such as the Online Access Act and e-learning in the education sector. This enables regio iT to expand its portfolio, and customers benefit from greater efficiency, productivity, and more motivated employees.

Today, it’s becoming increasingly important to make IT resources available quickly and in line with demand. However, with meetyoo’s platform—which was several years old—this couldn’t be achieved cost-effectively. meetyoo had always been very satisfied with the existing solution provided by its long-standing business partner, PROFI. So, once again, the company placed its trust in the expertise of the IT service provider. What was needed was an IT concept that, in addition to simplifying the management and provisioning of resources, would above all take the cost-benefit aspect into account.
